Eternity Records Presents In Him!

Biography

“For in him we live and move and have our being…” (Acts
17:28, NIV
)

With piano-driven music and vocals resembling the styles of Ginny Owens, Nichole Nordeman, and Watermark, and deep worshipful lyrics like those of Chris Tomlin, Jessie Rogers, and Rita Springer, In Him strives to see their audiences captivated by the heart of God while simply providing an avenue for intimate worship.
From the bold and up-tempo “Faith” and “Would You Know?”, to the poinient balad “At the Cross” providing a vivid depiction of the cruicifiction of Christ; and worshipful selections including: “Free”, “It Amazes Me Lord”, “Holy”, “In the Name”, and “Lord You Are”, topped with their jazz-like rendition of the beloved hymn “Just a Closer Walk with Thee”; this duo presents a unique mix of styles perfect for any event. Not afraid to tackle such topics as fatherlessness in “Song of Love” and emotional pain with “In Your Arms”, In Him provides a presentation that is sure to wet your musical apitite while providing the way to living water for your soul!

In Him strives to “Keep It Real!” This means that In Him is a simple band, with a real message, about a real God who has a real love for all! Both husband and wife draw a passion for music from their childhood, and are influenced by such acts as: Ginny Owens, Eli, Jennifer Knapp, Jars of Clay, Michael W. Smith, Kristy Starling, Aaron Shust, and more.
Andy, who now plays guitar for In Him could often be found playing the piano as a child, while Miranda has always had a passion for singing and playing keys, which she integrates with the God-given ability to lead others to the throneroom of God through worship.
Ministering together since August of 2005, this duo has performed at various churches, camps, and festivals throughout the state of Michigan, sharing the stage with such acts as: Rachanee, Echo After, Jericho Road, and Icris.

In Him’s ministry goes beyond the music. Whether on stage leading worship, encouraging their audience to sponsor a child through Compassion International as part of Compassion’s Independent Artist Network, supporting various causes through their anual Spring benefit concert, or interacting via their newsletter, podcast, and other avenues of communication, In Him longs to interact with their audience. Miranda says, “How can we speak of a real God who longs to be transparent with us, without exemplifying that transparency?”
Below, you will find the individual biographies for both members of In Him.

Andy

Hello,
My name is Andy. I am the guitarist for In Him. I’ve always enjoyed music ever since I was a child. One of my favorite childhood pastimes was playing the piano. I still possess a deep passion and love for music.
In my spare time, I enjoy doing web design, spending time with the Lord, family and friends, and my cat, and rooting for the Detroit Tigers during baseball season. I am also in training to become an ordained pastor.
I accepted Christ in 1993 at a local church service. Prior to this, I hadn’t attended church since I was a young child. When I came to Christ, He took me from a lifestyle that would have resulted in my physical death, and He gave me Eternal life in Him.
My favorite scripture is: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew
11:28-30, NIV
).
“Faith” is my favorite song of ours. If you had to put the gospel in a span of four minutes, and communicate it effectively, then Faith would do it!
Some of my musical influences include: Aaron Shust, ELi, Jars of Clay, Chris Rice, and Michael W. Smith.
If I could leave you with one message it would be this: Don’t give up on the hard times, because when you least expect it the Lord will pull you through!

Miranda

Hello,
My name is Miranda. I sing and play keys for In Him. I’ve been involved in music ever since my childhood. I started singing and playing the piano at the age of eight, and I started writing music at the age of fourteen. When we’re not on the road or in the studio, I enjoy teaching voice lessons, spending time with God, Family and our cat, reading Christian literature, and like Andy, rooting for the Detroit Tigers. I also enjoy volunteering within our community.
I became a Christian at the age of eight one Sunday at the close of our Sunday school class. Ever since I came to Christ, he has brought me through some situations that I wouldn’t have made it through on my own.
My favorite passage of scripture is: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…”, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1
Corinthians 13:4-8, 13, NIV
).
My favorite song that we play is “Lord You Are.” I love this song because it’s a true expression of worship. It portrays the true nature and character of who God really is.
My musical influences include: Ginny Owens, Jennifer Knapp and Kristy Starling.
I would like to leave you with something that Jesus promises us in His word. “I alone know the plans I have for you. Plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster. Plans to bring about the future you hope for.” Jer. 29:11 (good News Bible).

In conclusion, as you can see, In Him has a passion for the ministry and the Lord that they serve. It is our prayer that you will be encouraged by what you have read. We pray that you would, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths
straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV).
May God richly bless you, and may you “Keep it real in Him!”

What We Believe

Eternity Records and In Him believe the following:

  • The Holy Bible is the written, inerrant, infallible and inspired word of God.
  • There is only one God made up of three persons: the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus Christ was born of the Holy Spirit and of the virgin Mary. He lived on this Earth as a man and died on the cross to take away the sins of the world.
  • Jesus rose again on the third day and He is now in Heaven seated at the right hand of God the Father.
  • We are given the Holy Spirit that He may dwell within us as our comforter and guide in this world.
  • We have been anointed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit to use them in furthering the kingdom of the Lord.
  • One day, Jesus will come again to take those who believe in Him and who have trusted Him as Savior home to Heaven for eternity.
Until this day, it is our mission: To reach as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through our music and ministry and to fulfill the great commission which our Lord has commanded us.
“Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.” (Matthew
    28:19-20, MSG
    )

I found your comment on Compassion site in “Letter writing ideas”: “…We tell her about our career as musicians and how we are part of the Compassion artist network…” and I wonder if you could tell me more about how you are connected in Compassion artist network. I am a painter and photographer (God’s mercy) and my spouse and I are sponsors for two little girls in Uganda (from last year). We are from Croatia / Europe. I would like to do more, so if there is some kind of “artist network” I like to hear more.
I visit your site on Myspace and I love your music. 🙂
God bless you to keep doing wonderful job! Amen
